Verdict

Microsoft promised great things with Internet Explorer 9 and they have delivered most of it. The new Internet Explorer is sleek, fast, standards compliant and secure. Having said that, we don't think even in its latest avatar the Internet Explorer 9 can outstrip other browsers. Not only does it lack in terms of built-in features but also add-ons, which have become a crucial part of web browsing these days. Also, we don't like the fact that many of the websites don't work correctly on the Internet Explorer 9 and that there are still some bugs that need ironing out, which we hope will happen by the time it hits the final version. 

All said and done, Internet Explorer 9 is a huge leap ahead of its predecessors. For an undemanding user it would be more than sufficient. Unfortunately, we can't see ourselves using it as our primary browser, not when there are better alternatives available.
